Why aircon quotations can differ

Aircon costs depend on the actual work required. Routine servicing, deep cleaning, troubleshooting, gas top-up, parts replacement and a new installation are different jobs and should not be combined into one vague price range.

Before work starts, ask for the service scope, exclusions and final price to be explained clearly. NewCool focuses mainly on residential aircon servicing, Chemical Overhaul and troubleshooting.

Chemical Overhaul

1 residential wall-mounted indoor unit: $120
2 units or more: from $100 per unit
Indoor units above 24,000 BTU: +$20 per unit
60 Days Warranty

Repair work, leak repair and replacement parts are quoted separately.

Gas top-up

With Chemical Overhaul only: $40-$80
Standalone Gas Top-Up: $150-$200

The final gas top-up price depends on the refrigerant type and quantity required. Leak checking and leak repair are separate work and will be quoted before starting.

Troubleshooting and repair

The checking fee is $50. If you proceed with the repair or replacement parts after receiving the quotation, the $50 checking fee is deducted from the repair bill. Repair work and parts are quoted separately.

What affects an installation quotation

A responsible installation quotation normally needs the required system type, cooling capacity, number of indoor units, piping route, drainage route, electrical requirements, outdoor-unit location and access conditions. Brackets, trunking, piping length and removal of existing equipment may also affect the scope.
